What started out as a background story for a character, over the years grew into a mission of its own, and even lead to a simulation of its own. Project Destiny started out as a spin off from Langley Station.
The Project Destiny is the clandestine section of Destiny Inc. They do various assignments around the galaxy. From gathering intel to providing security. They are basically a legal version of guns for hire.
They have a number of teams and a support team at Homebase, Earth. Homebase provides technical support as well as assistance with research and communication. With thanks to the technical support team they possess the latest in technology as well as a Arrow class runabout, outfitted for the needs of the teams.

The Simm itself runs on an open world system where multiple missions run at one time. The current structure is that each team and Home Base all have their own independent stories, which cross over from time to time.

Hello team!
It’s that wonderful time again when I go on for a few paragraphs about what’s going on in the life of Project Destiny. I know it’s not been a full month since the last one but I have a few bits I would like to announce. So replicate yourself a hot beverage and let’s get to it:

Hello everyone. Once again I have missed a few months since the last newsletter. But this one should be brief.

It’s been a while since the last time I have an update on the Simm’s progress. With the real world looming somewhat different at the moment Project Destiny has taken a back seat for many of us, myself included. But I want you all to rest assured that I am still very much committed to this Simm, and it’s success, and in the last couple of weeks I am happy to say that some tags have begun to flow again, although our posting numbers are still down.
I have expressed before that during this time I don’t expect the same level of activity from you all, however I would appreciate an LOA if you believe you won’t be able to keep up with the usual posting requirements, this is to aid me in accessing the current state of the simm, and on how I could aid those of you able to participate in your endeavour to do just that. I am however happy to have LOA’s submitted without deadlines.
I have been struggling with how to write recruitment adverts for the simm owing to the unique nature of how missions are run here. I don’t want to overrun people with 5 different stories that they could be a part of, but equally I don’t want to miss out on areas where we could do with some extra players. As a result I have come up with an idea of having a mission in the spotlight.
This will be a monthly voting event, in which everyone will be invited to vote, via discord, on the current mission they most enjoy reading/writing. Voting will not be exclusive to our members, but to anyone that has access to our discord server. I am aware that there may be some people that are not members but enjoy reading our material, and it would be good to get their take on things.
After the vote an award will be given to all members that were involved in the writing of the mission, and the months recruitment ad will feature the mission voted everyones favourite.
I would like to invite all of our writers to be as creative as possible, not only in their writing of each individual post, but also in the creation of missions. The goal is to become a safe space for everyone to tell their stories, set within the Star Trek universe. If anyone has any mission ideas that they think would fit in Project Destiny then please give me or David a shout and we can work something out.
David’s writer is currently standing in as a temporary XO (or what I woild like to call Assistant Director), and the position is still open for someone more permanent. If you are interested in the role or want to know more about what is involved then please send me a message, and we can discuss it.
I think that just about covers everything for this month. If anyone has any questions then please don’t hesitate to ask.

Hi all.
You may have noticed at the bottom of the post writing screen there is a box labelled “tags”. This up until now has been unused but after a recent vote we have decided to trial it’s use.
Put simply the system allows for the site to be easily searched for posts using keywords. For example if you were to write “Alpha” in the box, when using the sites search tool you could then write alpha and the post would pop up amping at overs tagged the same way.
So, I wanted to start off by using the box to tag based on the team the post is meant for. If the post is for home base you would simply write “home base” in the box, for team alpha You would write “alpha” and so on and so forth.
It would also be helpful to use the box to tag based on sub-plots that don’t fit into an active mission. For example if there was a blossoming relationship between characters would might want to create a tag for this, so that you can easily keep track of said relationship. This would apply for any other situation you could think of.
As it stands the use of the box is not compulsory, but I would appreciate you all at least try it.
Many thanks

Lieutenant Commander Yvette Beauvoir had surprised the Security personnel by wearing her uniform into Project Destiny building. Even though she was Starfleet Intelligence, she'd only heard of the Project, when Admiral Mercer had assigned her to it as Starfleet Liaison.
So here she was looking out of place on her…

Norul made his way into his new home away from home; the operations center. Here he expected to find the previous occupant of his job, and ventured into the long cavern of a room, taking note of the bustle around him.
In the very center he found a rounded desk,…

It had taken a lot of courage for Fiona to make her way here. Although if truth be told, it was a lot easier than approaching her husband on the matter. But finally after several hours of agonising about this conversation she was here.
